TOYOTech, a subsidiary of Toyo Corporation, has an immediate operating for a passionate and highly-motivated Technical Specialist or Sales Engineer for its new AUTOMOBILE business unit.  This individual has a critical role within TOYOTech by determining automobile customer requirements for product instrumentation, and services and matching those requirements into cost effective technical solutions.  This position is most ideally suited for an automobile professional with power train calibration, evaluation and testing background.


  • Work with the TOYOTech AUTOMOBILE business unit to drive sales and achieve targets
  • Develop and build a sustainable pipeline for TOYOTech’s automobile powertrain testing products
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships
  • Maintain and update the corporate CRM (customer relationship management) database
  • Make presentations and conduct product demonstrations at customer locations
  • Responsible for the technical content and accuracy of customer quotations
  • Provide market feedback for future product development and innovative approaches to increase sales revenues
  • Understand the competitive landscape and propose/create/implement corresponding response plans
  • Work with marketing, business development and other corporate teams to create strategic plans and product enhancements to increase market share and maximize revenue


  • BS in engineering required, MS preferred
  • Preferably at least 7 years of work experience in the automobile industry
  • Subject matter expert in power train calibration, evaluation and testing
  • Prior work experience with vehicle tests in a dynamometer laboratory
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated successful experience in technical sales preferred in the automobile or related industry
  • Can multi-task and manage projects/assignments while under time restrictions
  • Travel is approximately 10 – 25% to meet the needs of customers mainly within the United States
  • Position can be based in Detroit, Michigan or Bay area of California

Nice to have Qualifications (but not absolutely required)

  • Background in Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing particularly with automobile
  • Background in LCD panel testing particularly with automobiles
