DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Dr. Yihong Qi \n  \nRegister now. \n  \nIntelligent Connected Vehicles\, or ICVs for short\, are the future of mobility.  They are wireless-equipped and enabled automobiles that connect to other cars\, pedestrians\, infrastructures\, cloud servers\, and just about anything else — a term referred to as V2X or Vehicle to Everything. \nAutomotive engineers are challenged with not only the design aspect of these new vehicle types but also the enormous task of testing them.  But Over-the-Air (OTA) testing of an ICV’s terrestrial cellular communication system is fraught with many challenges.  Conventional test systems do adequately address these challenges leaving test engineers with few options. \nTOYOTech invites you to this no-cost and informative webinar for automotive engineers and professionals whose work involved wireless OTA testing and measurements of ICVs.  We will discuss ICV concepts\, review some of the major challenges confronted by test engineers when performing OTA testing and survey some of the newer technologies available to help these engineers perform such measurements and test more reliably and in a shorter period.  We will also cover the daunting task of performing MIMO testing with a new methodology over the less reliable traditional multi-probe technique.  Please join us. \nDr. Yihong Qi is a visionary leader/researcher who has combined fundamental electromagnetic research with its applications in wireless communications.  Dr. Qi holds more than 450 granted and pending patents.  He is a published author with more than 100 scientific papers and two books. \nDr. Qi’s smartphone antenna design patent significantly reduced harmful radio-wave radiation to the human head.  Another one of his inventions also resolved the hearing aid compatibility issue.  His standards-related inventions have greatly simplified the certification process and reduced the cost for existing 4G and coming 5G wireless communications as well as autonomous cars and the Internet of Things. \nHe is the founder of four technology companies\, employing more than 15\,000 people globally.  His contributions have been recognized by his induction to Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering and Fellow of National Academy of Inventors (NAI).  Dr. Qi is only one of 136 inventors elected to the US-based NAI’s 2019 fellow class. \n  \n  \n
