The Dart 14KT is a high-performance low-frequency tapered darkroom system designed to enhance low-frequency antenna testing compared to traditional rectangular darkrooms. This innovative system addresses issues such as poor antenna directionality, the need for high-performance absorbing materials, and the high costs and space limitations of rectangular darkrooms. With careful design and simulation, the Dart 14KT achieves minimal amplitude fluctuation and phase taper in the static region, meeting far-field testing expectations. The system features a classical tapered darkroom layout based on equivalent feeds and ray tracing, positioning the turntable at the center of the optimal quiet zone. The front wall of the darkroom incorporates high-performance absorbing material to ensure effective absorption of low-frequency signals.
