Garland Technology TAPs and Toyo Corp’s SYNESIS make a great combination

Led by their CEO, Chris Bihary, and having the pleasure of yet another strategy meeting in their office last week left us little doubt in Toyo why they’ve experienced tremendous growth in sales, distribution and partner resellers, and customer base.

EMC Show wrap up

Last week, TOYO exhibited at the IEEE EMC Symposium exhibition in Long Beach California.  This was the third time we exhibited at this event. My colleagues Yoshi Fukawa, Barry Steltz, Jim Baer, Naoki Hagihara and Irene Wong also took part.

In this year’s Symposium, the following two presentations caught my attention:

  1. Investigation on Difference of Radiated Emission Measurement Reproduction between Two EUTs at International RRT by using CMAD as a Terminating Device for AC Mains Cable, Shinichi Okuyama (VCCI Council / NEC Platforms, Ltd.)
  2. Ground Loops during Site Validation of Anechoic Rooms Below 30 MHz, Alexander Kriz (Seibersdorf Laboratories)

TOYO introduced our EMC test software and system, Keysight’s EMI Receiver, AMETEK’s power amplifier, API proximity electromagnetic scanner, GTS’s OTA test solution, Frankonia’s E-Drive test bench, Seibersdorf’s Loop Antenna and EMI simulation NEC software. I received many questions about the magnetic field measurement below 30 MHz spec under consideration by CISPR / A and the E – Drive test bench. As many of you know, TOYO currently offers a wide range of automotive EMC test solutions.

I appreciate the organizers who held such a wonderful event. And we will certainly be back next year.

Continuing our SYNESIS journey into Germany and Israel

Continuing our journey of sharing the power and benefits of SYNESIS, Tom Nakamura, and I traveled to key partners and their prospects in Germany and Israel.  I wasn’t looking forward to the long plane rides but quickly found both destinations rich with promise.  We had one hiccup in our arrival in Germany where the airline almost lost our demo equipment during transit…the day before our meeting.  I’m sure you can relate.  During our meetings, we shared with but also learned from packet minded engineers.  As always, packets are important…don’t drop them.  Showing our prospects how SYNESIS can record all packets even up to 100Gbps never gets old.

It never ceases to amaze me how the network monitoring community can appear to be a “small world”.  I met network engineers that sold or used the same application or network performance products I worked on or supported during my career.  We of course shared stories of products past, people we knew in common, and possible conferences or meetings we may have crossed paths at least more than once.
