TOYO Corporation Launches AI-powered EMI Mitigation Assistance Software

Digitized “collective intelligence” helps engineers reduce EMI noise

Tokyo, Japan, Apr 22, 2021 – TOYO Corporation today launches EMINT, software guided by artificial intelligence that suggests action plans for electronic designers and engineers to resolve EMI noise issues found on the products they are developing.   EMINT draws from a comprehensive database of past measurement data, providing engineers with an effective framework to accelerate troubleshooting productivity and resolve EMI noise.  TOYO has a long and rich experience in developing industry-standard EMC software, and  TOYO plans to extend the functionality of “EMINT” and the list of EMI measurement software that can be used with EMINT.

Electronics with increasingly sophisticated technologies can be found all around us. They are in electric vehicles (EV), autonomous cars, 5G, IoT devices, and medical equipment to name a few.  But testing them to ensure that they comply with EMI regulations is a more challenging and daunting task.  When electromagnetic noise issues arise, engineers often rely on trial-and-error and/or ad hoc methods to try to correct the issue.  They may try to replace a component or two, change some wiring and/or add shielding.  The problem is that while a particular engineer struggles to find an answer, another engineer within the company may already have the answer highlighting a common problem within the organization.  The sharing of knowledge is typically not something that occurs in a formalized and structured way.

That all changes with EMINT.  The software taps into the collective intelligence of a company’s engineering team.   AI technology provides a platform for a repository of knowledge, to be entered and built out over time.   The platform data is sorted, indexed and collated for easy search and retrieval.   EMINT helps engineers to exchange and share technical knowledge, empowering them to accelerate their troubleshooting work and get their products out into the marketplace before the competition does.

Key Features

  • AI-based assistance
    • Find similar noise patterns in past measurement data to the target noise
    • Provide information on the mitigation measures taken against the similar noise based on the comments other engineers left for that noise in the past
    • Identify the components that are likely to generate EMI noise
  • Digital shift of the EMI debugging process
    • Improved data search. Search by file name or metadata value and narrow down to a particular noise based on spectrum characteristics
    • Insert a comment and a link to past data for a selected frequency point in the measurement data
    • Group by Project. Group selected data as a project for management purposes
  • Supports measurement data taken by TOYO’s EMI measurement and analysis software ”EPX/RE”
  • Uses patented technology

EMINT is currently shipping.  For more information or if you would like to see a demonstration, please contact us at info@toyotechus.com.

TOYO Corporation Introduces New Network Monitoring Solution that Provides Complete Visualization of Enterprise Networks

TOYO Corporation Introduces New Network Monitoring Solution that Provides Complete Visualization of Enterprise Networks

NetEyez Simplifies Network Monitoring with a Simple User Interface and Helps to Ensure Enterprise Network Quality

Tokyo, Japan, Apr 13, 2021 – TOYO Corporation, the leading test and measurement company, today announces NetEyez, a new network monitoring solution that visualizes entire networks including end-to-end communication using an intuitive and simple to use interface. NetEyez empowers network engineers to perform effective network monitoring.  For problems and issues that are detected, NetEyez helps accelerate time to resolution.

This TOYO-developed solution has been nominated as a Finalist for the Best of Show Award at Interop Tokyo 2021.  This prominent event will be held on Apr 14-16 in Chiba, Japan.

Due to the increasing complexity of the IT environment in enterprises with digital transformation expansion, the proliferation of virtual environments, and the adoption of remote working, network engineers have been challenged to effectively monitor their networks, maintain security, and prevent downtime.

NetEyez provides an overview of entire networks by inspecting data that traverses throughout the enterprise network and pinpoints current issues and potential issues.  Equipped with advanced capabilities like application protocol and end-to-end communication analysis, network engineers can identify network performance, security, and other issues in a matter of minutes.

Founded on the concepts of “Easy to deploy, Easy to operate, and Easy to understand,” NetEyez simplifies network monitoring.

Key Advantages

  • Advanced functions with simple user interface:
Application protocol analysis function using DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) technology
Analysis of End-to-end communication via proxy server
Visualization of SaaS services communication status
  • NetEyez topology: At a glance, check the status of your network
  • Distributed 1G/10G, Tower server 1G/10G

Collateral Alert: RayBeam Series Product brochure

Compared to relatively low-frequency antennas, mmWave phased array antennas have a narrower beam width and shorter wave lengths, so their sampling resolution would be much higher. Meanwhile, an active phased-array-antenna usually has multiple test ports and multiple beam pointing status (each status represents an antenna pattern in the main lobe direction). It is necessary to test multiple-beam pointing status (beam position). These will dramatically increase the total testing time for a single antenna array. With the conventional test method, an engineer must test every status for each port one by one, and as a result, the test efficiency is quite low. For example, a 10×10 antenna array can be tested in one week.
