Fremont, Calif., June 6, 2022 – TOYO Corporation, a leading provider of advanced measurement solutions headquartered in Tokyo, today announced that TOYO’s internally developed EMC test software was selected by Keysight Technologies for its accredited Regulatory Test Laboratory in Penang, Malaysia.
Partnering with TOYO’s local distributor, JS Denki Pte. Ltd. (HQ: Singapore), who delivers TOYO’s EMC software and systems and provides technical support in Southeast Asia, TOYO plans to utilize this test lab as a demonstration environment for its latest emissions measurement solution which includes Keysight’s latest EMI receiver, “N9048B PXE” to expand its sales footprint in the region.

The “EPX” Series, TOYO’s high-end Emissions Measurement and Analysis Software, is one of the EMC test software applications delivered to the lab. It was developed by TOYO to take advantage of Keysight’s latest EMI receiver, “N9048B PXE”, and uses two TOYO patented technologies to enable visualization of unnecessary noise that needs to be suppressed and to perform compliance testing at all times.
Started in 2020, Keysight’s regulatory test lab has been accredited as a compliance testing lab by A2LA (The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) and has been used by companies in the telecommunications, consumer electronics, and automotive industries.

Keysight’s regulatory test lab has become the first accredited test lab in Southeast Asia to introduce the “N9048B PXE” along with TOYO’s Emissions Measurement and Analysis Software. The “EPX” Series is designed to best utilize the PXE’s unique features. The pair together accelerates product development cycles by reducing the time needed to conduct tests and report results.

TOYO’s Emissions Measurement and Analysis Software, “EPX” Series, has enabled highly reliable automatic measurement of radiated emissions of electromagnetic noise without missing important noise by incorporating the Accelerated Time Domain Scan (A-TDS) feature to Keysight’s latest EMI receiver, “N9048B PXE.” The time-domain analysis is possible on measured noise in addition to a frequency domain and allows the timing and frequency of noise appearances to be visualized; this is very effective in identifying the noise sources and taking countermeasures. Based on the knowledge TOYO has gained in its long history of developing EMC software, TOYO has developed patented technologies and made sure compliance testing is performed every time while making it possible to utilize the wide FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) frequency band of 350MHz in the “N9048B PXE.”
Two features of the “EPX” Series use patented technologies helping to prevent missing important noise when conducting measurements in a wideband range and performing measurements that are compliant with international standards. With these key capabilities, the challenges faced when conducting measurement in a wide bandwidth with the “N9048B PXE” can be overcome.
Feature one is Impulse noise removal which prevents the target electromagnetic noise from being hidden by other noise irrelevant to the measurement like static electricity and so-called click noise. And feature two is Compliance evaluation. This feature allows you to conduct measurements compliant with international standards without relying on the experiences and skills of test engineers.
Other key EPX series features include:

Solution advances automaker’s electric vehicle development program and supports automaker’s embracement of the CASE paradigm
Fremont, Calif., May 10, 2022 — TOYO Corporation, the leading test and measurement company, is pleased to announce that a major U.S. automotive manufacturer recently selected TOYO’s vehicle-in-the-loop simulator (ViLS) for testing and validating their next generation of electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles, ensuring their successful development, manufacture, and production.

The ViLS allows automotive engineers to perform a wide variety of vehicle, environmental, and road testing under real-world conditions but in a more cost-effective and safer lab-controlled setting. In particular, the TOYO ViLS supports the CASE paradigm which refers to the new automotive technology fields of “Connected” cars,” “Autonomous/Automated” driving, “Shared,” and “Electric”. These areas define the future of transportation and are enthusiastically supported by the automotive industry. The TOYO ViLS is designed from the ground up. The company integrates best-in-class comprehensive components into the solution. Among them are Rototest® Energy chassis dynamometers, Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and True Sim, a professional-grade driving simulator co-developed by TOYO and Iwane that features augmented reality functionality.
After a multi-month technical assessment of the ViLS with one of the automaker’s EVs, they established that the ViLS met both their current and evolving needs. In particular, they needed dynamometers capable of coping with the high-torque forces generated by EVs and observed that the Rototest system met this stringent requirement. They moved forward and submitted an order for two complete ViLS systems. The order is the largest one ever secured by TOYO for the ViLS with a valuation in the multi-millions of dollars. The customer worked closely with TOYO’s U.S. subsidiary TOYOTech through all phases of the procurement cycle. And delivery and deployment of the platforms are expected to occur before the end of the year.
Some key advantages of the TOYO solution include:
“A key to closing this transaction was the proof-of-concept (POC) evaluation that the automaker partook in with our technology partner, Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee (ORNL). As a multiprogram science and technology national laboratory sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, ORNL maintains a TOYO-supplied ViLS in DOE’s National Transportation Research Center at ORNL to support such endeavors. During the POC, the automaker validated requirements and witnessed first-hand the ViLS in operation with their electric vehicle,” said Bo Han, CEO of TOYOTech. “We are grateful to ORNL for supporting the POC and look forward to assisting with the deployment and commissioning of the ViLSs at the customer site.”
The automaker’s key test requirements for the TOYO ViLS include support for:
CASE encompasses many technology fields, including automotive, compute, wireless communications, networking, sensors, radar, and artificial intelligence to name just a few; TOYO possesses core competencies and decades of experience in many of these areas. As the adoption of the CASE methodology reaches critical mass in the global automotive industry, TOYO is there to drive this vision forward with innovative test solutions such as the ViLS.

Fremont, Calif., April 26, 2022 — TOYO Corporation is proud to announce that two of our electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) software solutions were selected by a Fortune 50 company to help support the innovative consumer electronic product development work they are designing within their labs. TOYO’s EMC software plays a key quality assurance role during various research and development product lifecycle stages. The company chose TOYO’s ES10/RE, software designed to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance measurements of radiated emissions from electrical devices. They also selected TOYO’s IM5/CS, software developed to measure conducted electromagnetic issues with a product under test that are triggered by other electric devices. The TOYO-supplied solutions provide the company with confidence that the products they are developing are meeting all required standards.

Electric-powered devices emit electromagnetic waves. High levels of which can adversely impact other electronic devices. During the product development and quality assurance processes, EMI measurements are conducted to confirm if they adhere to recognized standards. The failure to meet these standards often means that a product cannot be commercialized, resulting in significant business risk exposure for an organization. The ES10/RE software performs these critical radiated emissions measurements. It is used in conjunction with an EMI receiver or spectrum analyzer to provide a comprehensive solution. Utilizing an Ethernet, USB, or General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) interface found on most test instruments, TOYO’s software interoperates with commercial, general-purpose instruments from a variety of manufacturers including Keysight, and Rohde and Schwarz.

TOYO’s IM5 series was specifically developed to evaluate the susceptibility of electronic equipment to electromagnetic interference. The software automatically interoperates with a wide variety of measurement instrumentations including signal generators, power amplifiers, field-strength meters, power meters, and turntable/antenna mast controllers. The IM5 series is designed to be used by engineer professionals at all experience levels, putting TOYO’s 30 years of experience to work even in the hands of a junior engineer. The software supports many standards including IEC, EN, MIL, and 2004/104/EC.
“As a long-standing member of the EMC test community, TOYO contributes to compliance test and measurement enablement,” said Nick Sugawara, VP of the EMC Business Unit at TOYOTech. “Advanced TOYO EMC software solutions such as the ES10/RE and IM5/CS empower users with the tools they require to validate their designs and help ensure compliance with all required standards.
